On 18 September 2019 the British Council signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation to work together on the development and dissemination of a Ministry of Education initiative called ‘Global Challenge’. 'Global Challenge' is an online quiz game designed to promote sustainable development in line with the United Nations Agenda 2030 on sustainable development, of which both the UK and Argentina are signatories. The objective of the game is to promote global citizenship and consciousness of the challenges of sustainable development, by teaching young people about the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We are supporting the project by helping the Ministry to develop a version in English, which can then be shared in its global network. The memorandum of understanding will also support future cooperation between the Ministry and the British Council in educational initiatives related to the teaching of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

We hope that we can build on this going forward to develop new initiatives in partnership with the Ministry!” – Robert Chatfield, Country Director for the British Council in Argentina.|
